Please join us for our symposium to present, discuss, and fine-tune outstanding papers that fall within the theme of our new peer-reviewed journal, the Historical Review of Business and Economics. For the conference we are soliciting papers that demonstrate potential to be published in the journal, if the authors choose this option.

Call for Papers

We are accepting and reviewing work on a rolling basis until February 18, 2015. You are strongly encouraged to submit your abstract as soon as possible to allow for sufficient time to settle any questions that the expert panel might have and to provide a comfortable time window for funding and possible travel visa applications.

The abstract should not exceed 300 words. Proposals may cover any topic related to economic history and business history. If you have doubts about whether your proposal fits, please contact us for assistance.

Decisions of acceptance are usually made within 2-3 weeks after submitting your abstract.

Papers presented at the conference may be published in the conference proceedings. Full papers should consist of approximately 8-20 pages single-spaced. If the author(s) are interested, a paper may be considered for possible publication in the peer-reviewed Historical Review of Business and Economics..

Registration

The cost of registration is EUR 290 per person, which includes access to all coffee breaks, the lunch buffet, all conference presentation sessions, water and other selected drinks, the evening reception with a Portuguese buffet, and the conference materials.

Please note that presenters must be registered by the deadline stated in the notice of acceptance to confirm their participation.

Since seats for non-presenters are limited, non-presenters interested in attending should contact us before making travel arrangements.

NOTE: All conference participants must bring their registration confirmation to the registration desk on the day of the conference.
